Ron Pople Park is located in the southern residential area of Gunnedah, just above the Golf Course. It has a large grassed area suitable for children to run and play on, park benches and great playground equipment. The park is easily accessed from Linden Place or Hinton Drive and you are likely to see a few Kangaroos lying around the grassy area, enjoying the summer shade or winter sun depending on the season. The park is close to natural bushland and the kangaroos are free to roam.
