Merrimeet Cottages is a small, family run business set in a hectare of English woodland. The residence is a grand Tudor house accompanied by three separate garden apartments and three river cottages. All contain wood fires, reverse cycle air conditioning, queen size beds and self contained kitchenettes. The rambling gardens flow on to the Canyon walk along side the Ovens River, the centre of beautiful Bright five minutes walk away. Since February 2015, Merrimeet has been owned and run by a young family of three, Alistair, Kellie and Josie. In September 2015, the family swelled to five with the addition of two gorgeous twin girls called Maya and Heidi. Alistair was raised in Tasmania, Kellie hails from Scotland and together they try and provide for their guests with a combination of laid back Tasmanian warmth and welcoming British charm. Josie turned two last September, you will probably find her tottering in the gardens.
