Faversham House is a historic National Trust and Heritage Council luxury guest house and conference / function centre situated in the heart of York. Faversham House offers a choice of seven spacious air-conditioned mansion bedrooms with en suite or private bathrooms, and an elegant comfortable drawing room and veranda. Select a book from the eclectic and ever growing library or just enjoy a good old fashioned chat with your companion. Set in five acres of garden and vineyard, relax and enjoy a glass of wine on the verandah whilst enjoying the views to Mount Brown. A choice of homemade breads, jams and poached fruits make sure that no one leaves the table hungry after their home-style buffet breakfast. Also available are six heritage bedrooms set around the picturesque courtyard, with reverse cycle air-conditioning. Two are en suite rooms (one with a claw foot bath), the other four sharing bathroom facilities. Guests of the courtyard take breakfast in the dining hall and also have access to the main house and gardens. Colonial cool in summer, cosy log fires in winter; perfect for a short break from the city. One visit won't be enough.
