Blinman Cottage, a charmingly restored 1800's miners' cottage in the town of Blinman. Private self contained accommodation is available for up to six guests. Wood fire and air conditioning in the living room. Centrally located in the heart of the Flinders Ranges, 500 kilometres from Adelaide on a sealed road. The manager lives close by. A country hotel for meals and a general store. Kangaroos, emus and many colorful birds are in abundance around the Cottage. The heritage Blinman Mine, a 1 hour guided underground tour, is a not to miss attraction. Nearby mining ruins can be reached by road, Nuckaleena mine, Appealinna ruins and the historic town of Beltana. Walks can be made through Parachilna Gorge, parts of the Heysen Trail and Blinman Pools. There are a number of organized station and self-guided tours available from Blinman. Wilpena Pound, Aroona Valley, Brachina Gorge, Bunyeroo Gorge, the Prarie Hotel at Parachilna are all excellent day trips. Flights are available from Blinman over Lake Eyre, and the Flinders Ranges including Wilpena Pound, Aroona Dam is ideal for a picnic. .
