Wallington Wines Farmstay

Nangar Road Nyrang Creek Australia

Description:

This Winery Cottage at Wallington Wines Farmstay is a renovated old pise (rendered wattle and mud) farm house set out overlooking the Wallington Farm, vineyard and olive grove. With beautiful views over the Belubula and Lachlan Valleys. With restored pressed metal ceilings, a cosy fire place and polished original wide cedar timber floor boards, this cottage is the perfect place to put your feet up and escape from the hustle and bustle of city living. There are plenty of things for guests to do. From just wandering around the farm with the sheep and cattle through the vineyard and olive grove to a more adventurous trek to the top of Bald Hill, which boasts spectacular views of the surroundings. Bald Hill was a renowned hide out for the infamous bush ranger Ben Hall in the 1860's. Guests can organise a winery tour in the straw bale winery and taste the certified organic and biodynamic wines on offer. If you are here around the time of Vintage (summer/autumn), you can help pick grapes and get first hand experience on winemaking. Guests have access to the entire property for walking and exploring.
