The Winemakers Cottage is part of the original winemaking facilities and closest building to the beautiful Mount Ophir Estate's French style building. It's intimate and cosy with a gorgeous loft bedroom accessed by stairs. The cottage has views looking out onto the original orchard. Unfortunately due to the stairs, the cottage cannot accommodate children. This cottage will only suit an agile couple. Mount Ophir Estate is currently operating as an exclusive site for private events, including Rutherglen weddings and unique, luxury accommodation, which will welcome twenty-four people. Mount Ophir Estate’s philosophy is to be gentle on the environment and look after the earth. Organic farm management is used on established plantings of low yielding and high-quality vineyard on fine clay loam of Shiraz, Durif (a famous regional variety) and Brown Muscat. It is also an organic working farm with many animals, including sheep, geese and peacocks.
