Description:

Nestled high above the Cygnet Valley in the middle of a 126 hectare proclaimed wildlife sanctuary, Attunga Sanctuary is a stone and timber house with full facilities sleeping eight in comfort and complete seclusion. The spectacular views reach across the Cygnet Valley to the Wisanger Hills and Nepean Bay. On a clear day the mainland is seen. Kangaroo Island's world renowned beaches and tourist attractions are within easy driving distances. Glossy Black Cockatoos, seen and heard for several months of the year, feed in extensive plantings of sheoaks. Abundant native birds can be viewed from the comfort of the veranda. Waterbirds breed on the dam in front of the house. Birds of prey can be seen soaring above the creek line. Kangaroos, wallabies and possums are seen early morning and late afternoon. Laura R, San Francisco, California. "We enjoyed the beauty of your property- lots of gorgeous vistas and such a diversity of birds right at your front door. My favourite was enjoying the night chorus of critters under the thick blanket of night stars. ...waking up in the sun room to see the vista, feel the breeze and enjoy the birdsong. I will try to stay here again."
