The spectacular Monaro High Country is home to some of Australia's most stunning private gardens, situated on large, historic merino sheep and cattle stations. Located in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains in south east NSW, one hour from Canberra, Private Gardens of the Monaro offer exclusive tailor made day tours for groups visiting three gardens and including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. At altitudes of around 1000 metres, the gardens are "cold climate" with four distinct seasons giving fabulous autumn colour, spring flowering bulbs, leafy summery greenery and cold winters with frosty mornings and sometimes snowy days. Access to the gardens is strictly by appointment only. Private Gardens of the Monaro have three Autumn dates and three Spring dates available to book on a private tour- visitors can choose to self drive or travel by small luxury coach with guide from Canberra.
